Achieving Ultimate Coverage

Duraflex Liquid Rubber should be applied at a rate of 1m² per litre. For example if your roof is 200m² you should be applying 200 Litres of Duraflex Liquid Rubber product to your roof, applying it in 2 coats.

How to properly prepare before applying

Important that the roof is cleaned properly using Duraflex Exterior Wash to eliminate all algae growth and dirt, then rinsed with fresh water. Once cleaned the correct primer can be applied if needed. Duraflex suggests the following primers: 

  • Tiled Roof & Untreated flat concrete roofs – Bonding Liquid
  • Asbestos & Wood – A Solvent based Primer
  • IBR & Corrugated – Etching Primer

Filling gaps and holes

Use Duraflex Thickening agent to mix with the Liquid Rubber to form a thick paste to fill gaps, seal screw heads etc. This paste can also be used to seal and protect your concrete ridge pointing.

Duraflex Liquid Rubber can be applied by brush, roller or airless sprayer. It is important to get a consistent film on your roof surface and a minimum of 2 coats is to be applied. Duraflex Liquid Rubber is water-based so all tools and equipment can be cleaned with water after use.
